Beautifully improved park in Rogers, AR

Crossland Construction built the $9.28 million contract for the Lake Atalanta Park Improvements project in Rogers, Arkansas.

Crews worked tirelessly to build two new restroom facilities, a dog park, a 300 linear foot wooden walking bridge, ten miles of ten-feet-wide concrete walking/biking trails, and an orientation building. Additional construction included a new playground, interactive water features with multiple pools, tree houses, a serenity pavilion, miles of handset stone walls, wooden walk bridges, and concrete-poured, steel-framed walk bridges.

Crossland crews worked in and over the lake to construct the boardwalks. Because they couldn’t dam or drain the lake water, they installed composite piers using a drill rig on a barge. They also constructed the boardwalk’s steel structure using barges and boats. Despite a tight schedule, multiple design revisions, and a large job site, Crossland teams completed the project on time and on budget.
