To succeed in today’s global marketplace, companies must be constantly seeking out and embracing opportunities to evolve the way they do business. As a company, this is not just something Agie Charmilles Corporation preaches to our customers, it is something we practice on a continual basis.

Effective November 1, 2006, Agie Charmilles Corporation merged the sales and service departments of the North American arms of Agie, Charmilles and Mikron. This action is a highly visible extension of the previous unification of the back-office and logistics departments of the companies. By bringing these highly successful brands together under one company, we have established a comprehensive source for all of the market’s EDM and High Speed and High Performance 3- and 5-axis milling requirements.

For many years, Agie, Charmilles and Mikron have offered levels of service and applications support that have set industry standards. By bringing the three brands together into a single sales channel, we will be able to raise the bar even higher, by capitalizing on best practices and streamlining the affected departments. In short, this strategy will allow us to achieve even higher levels of availability, efficiency and cost savings, thereby tangibly and significantly improving the value we provide to the market.

To ensure the smoothest possible transition, we have carefully selected a group of the nation’s most respected and experienced dealers to represent Agie, Charmilles and Mikron products. All of our service engineers, over 100 throughout the country, will receive extensive cross-training to prepare them to meet your needs on a more comprehensive level.

Charmilles' North American operations are headquartered in Lincolnshire, IL. Charmilles has sold over 10,000 EDM machines in North America since 1954. These models are supported by an $8 million spare parts inventory and a service department located at the 50,000 square-foot Lincolnshire facility. Charmilles has application and demonstration centers in Pinebrook, New Jersey and Yorba Linda, California.

Charmilles is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and has three production sites worldwide: Geneva and Schaffhausen in Switzerland, and Owosso, Michigan in the United States.
